On Saturday, 9th August 2025, the Kiambu County Aquatics Association (KCAA), a valued partner of Swim Safe Kenya (SSK), hosted a vibrant and memorable Awards Gala at Zetech University, Mang’u Campus.
The event brought together swimmers, coaches, parents, and aquatic sports stakeholders to celebrate achievements in swimming across Kiambu County. It was an evening of recognition, appreciation, and inspiration for all who have contributed to the growth of aquatic sports in the region.
Swim Safe Kenya was proudly represented by Mr. Douglas Okatso, who not only attended the event but also serves as the Honorary Secretary of KCAA. His presence highlighted the strong collaboration between KCAA and SSK in promoting swimming as a safe, inclusive, and skill-building sport for all ages.
The gala featured awards presentations, motivational speeches, and recognition of top-performing swimmers and clubs, reflecting the growing talent and dedication in the aquatic community. It was also a platform to reaffirm the joint commitment of KCAA and SSK to water safety education, competitive swimming development, and community outreach programs.
As a key partner, Swim Safe Kenya continues to champion initiatives that teach swimming skills, promote water safety, and nurture the next generation of champions. The successful gala was yet another testament to the power of collaboration in making swimming a safer and more accessible sport across Kenya.
